Takeout Tuesday - Call Your Mother Deli in Pike & Rose

Welcome to the neighborhood Call Your Mother deli!  Their newest location is in Pike & Rose, which is very exciting since it'll be much easier to go and grab something delicious for breakfast or lunch.  Their opening day was yesterday with a steady stream of customers when I went mid-morning.  I got the Royal Palm bagel sandwich, and it was packed full of flavor and different textures.  I really enjoyed this one as a smoked salmon fan.  They also threw in a free chocolate chip cookie which is still waiting in the fridge for me to enjoy as a snack today.  

I love how creative their menu is, with lots of sandwich selections that you may not find in a traditional bagel shop.  

During their pre-opening last Saturday when I happened to walk by, I got the Turkey BLTA from their lunch sandwiches section, as well as a plain bagel to freeze and an extra snickerdoodle cookie.  This was free for the pre-opening and I will definitely be getting these again, especially that sandwich with the flavorful herb mayo and plenty of fillings!

Takeout Tuesday - Mocha Brioche Donut from Sunday Morning Bakehouse

I always love coffee-based sweets and baked goods, so of course I enjoyed this Mocha Brioche doughnut from Sunday Morning Bakehouse!  This fluffy doughnut was filled with a delicious mocha cream and topped with chocolate glaze and chocolate pearls on top.  There was a strong coffee flavor in the filling, and I love the chocolate pearls on top for texture.  This was delicious with a latte (for even more coffee flavor, haha) and anyone that loves Mochas will love this one!

Takeout Tuedsay - A&J's Rockville

 

I got this takeout meal from A&J's Restaurant on Rockville Pike a while ago, but writing about it is a good reminder for me to go back again soon.  For this takeout order I didn't really go for anything new, and clearly was very hungry by the looks of being ready to eat straight out of the containers, haha.  From the left we have their pan fried pork dumplings, Dan Dan Mian spicy noodles, and wonton soup.  The perfect carb-y meal with enough for leftovers.  I especially love how their pan fried dumplings are longer for a great crispy surface area.  They have a very easy online ordering site with descriptions of every menu item, which is especially nice if you're not familiar with their offerings!
