BCBGMaxAzria Prize!

I recently won a Most Wanted Bag prize from BCBGMaxAzria via a Twitter contest, woo!  Based on their description, I was expecting a promotional gift/tote bag with some beauty samples inside.  Well I got that, but the extra-special surprise was this sparkly fun purse!!!

This Volet striped metal-mesh evening bag is really cute, sparkly, and a modern design on a classic evening bag shape.  It's roomy enough for all of my essentials (which is not typical for me + evening bags, haha) but small enough to really feel like a clutch.  The only concern I have is that I'm going to be the one that gets the metal-mesh caught on something when I'm out and little pieces will fly everywhere... haha.  But I'm sure that I will be careful and enjoy using this bag this summer! Recent Bloomingdale's Haul

Just a quick post on two items I recently picked up during a trip to Bloomingdale's! :o)

This Chanel color isn't new, but it struck me as such a pretty, fun-looking color that I had to get it.  It's a v. light, creamy lilac shade that looks great on short nails- I may also use it for a pedicure soon. 

I also took advantage of the Bloomingdale's sale/coupon during this trip, and picked up this cute little studded crossbody bag from BCBGeneration.  I love the metal + fabric chain (feels more sturdy than just a thin chain on its own), and the bag is small but roomy enough for all my going-out needs.  Super cute, and I got it for less than $25!

Weekend Shopping Haul

Just a quick post to share some fun stuff I got last weekend- can you tell that I'm SO ready for Spring/Summer??

BCBGeneration Twisted-Panel Jersey Skirt.  On sale at Bloomingdale's, plus 20% off for Friends & Family weekend = Got this for around $20! Super cute, comfy, and will be fun with tights or without once the weather's nicer.

Onto Filene's Basement- Super excited that I found this uber-soft Juicy Couture tank, because I literally had JUST seen it at Bloomingdale's, but not in my size.  At Filene's, it was only $8.99!  Plus 15% off that with a coupon!

And finally, a BCBG jersey top that I had my eye on last season but never bought- comfy, fun print, and around $40 with my 15% off coupon!

Needless to say, I'm v. happy with my weekend purchases.  I got stuff that I really like, and saved a bit of money in the process! Anyone else SO ready for spring - and more importantly, spring clothing??

Free tote bag!

My love affair with all things BCBG is relatively recent but dangerously fast :o)  I started shopping at Bloomingdale's more when I moved here, since there was one right down the street from my residence, and a few more scattered around the area.  I was at Bloomingdale's a little over a year or so when I noticed a separate section of BCBGeneration clothes.  The clothes are fun and the price points are reasonable, especially compared to BCBGMazAzria or the other brands in the group.  The general look of the BCBGeneration brand is a little bit younger and more casual, but they do have a great selection of party dresses as well.  The brand is also carried at other department stores as well- if you come across it in your area, I highly recommend taking a look! 

Being such a huge fan, I am signed up for regular newsletters and notices from the BCBG group.  One from fall of 2009 was asking people to complete a quick consumer survey in exchange for a small gift.  Obviously the lure of a freebie worked for me- I filled out the survey and promptly forgot about it as the weeks passed.  Then I got a lovely surprise a few weeks later, with this cute BCBGeneration tote bag!  It's large enough to be used as an overnight bag, or just to carry a bunch of stuff around in.  I'm assuming they used these bags at some point as a promotional giveaway at events or something, but still, it's a cute and functional freebie, which I can always appreciate.

Love, Love, Love: BCBGMaxAzria

One of my regular "columns" (not sure what else to call it, haha) will be devoted to Things That I am Obsessed With, aka "Love, Love, Love" (insert NJ Real Housewife Teresa Giudice's voice here).

I'm sure it's no secret to the handful of you actually reading this, that one of my favorite stores to shop in is BCBGMaxAzria. I literally cannot walk into that freakin' store without trying on at least 5 things and probably buying all of them. My closet is filled with a million BCBG jersey dresses, no joke. I love everything about the brand: the designs, the fit, and especially if they are on sale, like right now!

BCBG is currently having a Summer Sale, with up to 70% off a lot of v. cute items. I'd recommend checking a store first to see what they have, as the selection varies from the website, and also prices seem to be different (for example, the store maybe doing an in-store only additional % off sale items). I may have to keep myself far, far away from the mall as I just recently bought a bunch of BCBG items from the brand's store and Bloomingdale's, but if anyone's looking for some cute summer dresses, might as well get them on sale!
