Dunkin' Donuts x Homesick Candles

Dunkin' Donuts and candles - what a perfect combination!  As soon as I saw that Homesick was coming out with coffee and doughnut themed candles in a special collaboration wil Dunkin' Donuts, I knew I had to get them! 

There are 3 scents in the collection - Original Blend, Old Fashioned, and Peppermint Mocha.  I got the first two which you can see in the photo - the packaging is too cute!  On cold sniff they smell great and true to the names.  I love coffee-scented candles especially so the Original Blend is really awesome.  I hope they do more collaborations like this in the future!

Dunkin' Donuts Pool Accessories

Happy Friday everyone!  I came across these fun pool accessories at Dunkin' Donuts this week and just barely made it out the door without buying at least one :o)  I especially love the iced coffee towel to show everyone at the pool or beach your passion for iced coffee all summer long.  I'll have to keep an eye out for other fun items in store in the future! 

 

National Coffee Day

Happy National Coffee day! Although I've never really liked straight hot coffee, I love the smell (haha), and of course I love iced coffee and flavored coffees as well.  There are a few companies that are celebrating with deals if you are near one today!

Peet's Coffee and Tea: Free coffee with a breakfast item purchase.

Dunkin' Donuts Mug Candles

I recently came across this lovely sight at my local Dunkin' Donuts - coffee candles!! The best of both worlds, in my opinion.  Currently there are two scents - Pumpkin Spice and French Vanilla, and the candles come in cute glass mugs with the Dunkin' Donuts logo on it.  Of course I'm partial to the Pumpkin Spice scent, but I think these would make such a cute gift for anyone that is a fan of coffee, especially Dunkin' Donuts :o) 

Starbucks - Ornament Mugs

I always love getting Christmas ornaments from some of my favorite stores (Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts, Shake Shack to name a few), and this year Starbucks really stepped it up with a LOT of little decorative items available during the holidays.  

The "Oh, what fun" mug is actually a functional mug - it's the same as this boxed demi cup online, just with a different design.  Since it really only holds espresso (which I don't drink at home), I thought it was a cute item to have sitting under my tree alongside some of the heavier decorations I have.  

The Washington, DC cup is actually an ornament, and part of the You Are Here collection.  I love the gold design, it's perfect as a holiday decoration and a gift for anyone that just moved to the area, or has a lot of DC-area pride haha.  I think these are a great addition to my growing holiday decorations! 

National Coffee Day

Happy National Coffee Day everyone!

Today, everyone can get a free cup of coffee from both Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts! At Krispy Kreme you can get a free small coffee, and a free medium dark roast coffee at Dunkin Donuts.  Why not grab a coffee for yourself and a friend, or take this chance to do a coffee taste test of the two different brands, haha.

National Doughnut Day

Happy national doughnut day everyone!  I'm sure lots of doughnut shops are celebrating in one way or another today, but here are two of the big ones:

Krispy Kreme: Free doughnut, no purchase necessary.
Dunkin' Donuts: Free doughnut with any beverage purchase.

Luckily (?) I have both located very close to my work, so I'm sure I will be celebrating in some capacity today, haha. I hope you all partake today as well!

Dunkin' Donuts - 2013 Ornaments

Ever since I started decorating my mini Christmas tree with food-related ornaments, I've always kept an eye out for fun ornaments to add to my collection.  Dunkin' Donuts definitely didn't disappoint with their 2013 holiday selection!  The location by me had the following (left to right): Munchkins box, cityscape snow globe, "Time to make the donuts" sign, and a coffee mug.

I went with the Munchkins box because I thought it was super cute, and who doesn't love Munchkins? This is a wonderful addition to my food-themed tree, and I can't wait to see what they offer this winter! 

Shake Shack - 2013 Ornament

After getting the Shake Shack Ornament last year during the holidays, I was excited to see that a new design came out for their ornament this year! This hungry little snowman is part of the same deal - Buy a $25 gift card, get the ornament for free!

This Shake Shack snowman makes a lovely addition to my food-centric Christmas tree.  In this one section you'll find ornament representation from Shake Shack, Dunkin' Donuts, and Starbucks :o) 

Dunkin' Donuts - Pumpkin Pie Doughnut

As soon as I heard about the new Pumpkin Pie doughnuts at Dunkin' Donuts, I knew that I had to try it out immediately, haha.  This doughnut is "a pumpkin pie-flavored, buttercreme-filled yeast shell, frosted with white dipping icing and sprinkled with graham cracker topping".

Luckily for me, it didn't take long to find this doughnut at a nearby DD, compared to other times that I've searched for limited edition items that I couldn't seem to find anywhere near me.  So, first things first - yes, this doughnut is sweet. VERY sweet. But really, what do you expect from a pumpkin pie themed doughnut from Dunkin' Donuts? Restraint isn't exactly in their vocabulary, haha. The filling was a touch harder than I would've liked - but remember that I'm a fan of their Boston Kreme doughnuts, which is a much softer consistency.  The graham cracker crumbs on top were a nice little touch, although they didn't do much for the flavor for me.  Overall I wouldn't eat this every day - I don't think anyone should be, haha - but I am always happy to try out pumpkin foods and I'm glad I got to try this one!

Dunkin' Donuts - Maryland Mug

I was at my usual weekend Dunkin' Donuts (yes, I have separate weekday and weekend DD's, lucky me) and was waiting in line like usual, when I came across the elusive city mugs!!  I had seen photos of these floating around Twitter here and there but I hadn't actually seen them in any stores until now.

I love my Maryland mug, it's a perfect addition to my vast mug collection/obsession.  In addition to the lovely Maryland mug, I also used a recent coupon for this summer's $0.99 iced coffee/tea refill cup.  And wow, this cup is HUGE. I'd guess it's at least twice the size of last summer's, haha! I am excited to have two new items to fuel my DD love!

Happy National Donut Day everyone! I saw some signs up my local Dunkin' Donuts earlier this week and I wanted to share the tasty news with everyone. Today, at all participating locations, you can get a free doughnut with any beverage purchase, woohoo!

Also, over at Krispy Kreme, you can go and get a free doughnut today as well, no purchase necessary!

Dunkin' Donuts Christmas Ornament

Can you see that there's a theme to my Christmas ornaments? 

This cute little pink doughnut is courtesy of Dunkin' Donuts, woo hoo!  It's cute, pink, and covered in sprinkles, so you know I love it haha.  This is a perfect compliment to my Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee ornament that I got in 2011.  I hope that they have another fun ornament option this year as well :o) 

Wanted: Dunkin' Donuts Red Velvet Drizzle Donut

Oh man... anyone that knows me would know that Red Velvet + Cream Cheese + seasonal item = I WANT.

As soon as I saw this Red Velvet Drizzle Donut on the Dunkin' Donuts Facebook page, I knew that I had to put it on my radar.  I'm really hoping that the DD by work, or the DD by my house will have this available.  If anyone sees this at their local DD and tries it out, let me know what you think!

Fall Foods Roundup

Well here we are again, the time of year where EVERY food blog mentions something pumpkin/apple/squash recipe imaginable, haha.  And please don't take that as a complaint - I personally LOVE anything pumpkin especially, and fall recipes are always so fun to browse through. 

In addition to all the fun recipes, lots of restaurants and stores have seasonal items available during this time.  Here are just a few that I look forward to having or have enjoyed in the past!

- Starbucks : Pumpkin Scone, Pumpkin Bread, Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Salted Caramel Mocha.  This year they also have a Starbucks VIA Pumpkin Spice available, and it's already sold out in many areas.  Luckily I stocked up at a Starbucks by me, I can't wait to try these mixed in some warm milk!

- Panera: Pumpkin Spice Latte, Jack-o-lantern Cookie, Pumpkin Pie Bagel.

- Krispy Kreme: Caramel Apple Doughnut.

- Einstein Bros. Bagels: Frozen Pumpkin Latte, Pumpkin Latte, Pumpkin Muffin, Pumpkin Cream Cheese Poppers, Pumpkin Walnut Crunch Bagel and Shmear. 

No surprise here, but one of my favorites, Dunkin' Donuts, rolls out the red carpet for fall items...this list is huge!

- Dunkin' Donuts: Apple Orchard Donuts/Munchkins, Apple Crisp Muffin, Homestyle Apple Pie, Apple Cider (hot or iced), Pumpkin Cream Cheese, Pumpkin Coffee, Pumpkin Latte, Pumpkin Donut/Munchkins, Pumpkin Muffin.

So many pumpkin items, I better get cracking on this list!
