Georgetown Cupcakes in January - Continued

As promised- here are a few more Georgetown Cupcakes that I've had since the last post. 

Strawberry (free!) + Key Lime

I never got a chance to try the Strawberry cupcake last summer when it was available, so I was super excited to try it out for free the other day.  I also picked up a Key Lime because I had not yet tried that one.  I LOVE the two together with the light pink and green - so cute!  The Strawberry cupcake was delicious, with a really fresh flavor and little specks of strawberry througout.  I am definitely getting it again next time it is available as a special flavor.  The Key Lime was good, tasted like a virgin margarita in cupcake form, and the little candy lime is a cute touch. I probably wouldn't get it again, but that's because it's not really that high on my list of flavors that I love personally. 

 

Lemon Blossom (also free!)

S also gave me a Lemon Blossom cupcake the other day, which was great since I had not yet tried this flavor either.  I'm pretty sure my feelings about this one would be different if I got it straight from the store - the cupcake literally broke into half and then crumbled as I unwrapped it..sad times!  But the frosting had great flavor, especially from the little bits of lemon zest (which you can sort of see in the photo). 

I just realized that all of these look v. SPRING, haha- wishful thinking on my part, I guess.
